Description:

Open Office.org is a free office package developed as an Open Source project. It is very similar to Microsoft Office. Like Office, OpenOffice also has a text editor (Writer), spreadsheet (Calc), tool for creating multimedia presentations (Impress) or graphics editor (Draw). The newest version in addition has an application for creating data bases (Base).

OpenOffice.org 2.1 is recommended for all users, as it represents a significant improvement over all previous versions. Among other things:

* Multiple monitor support for Impress
* Improved Calc HTML export
* Enhanced Access support for Base
* Even more languages
* Automatic notification of updates
