Internet Explorer 7 (also called IE7) is the latest browser from Microsoft. Internet Explorer 7 will only run on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed. Microsoft has announced that the Vista version will be appearing at some point in the future.

According to Microsoft, Internet Explorer features a 'new look' and new capabilities - which is what they say every time they release a new version. The toolbars have been moved around and redesigned, but no great leaps there. It also adds features currently in Mozilla - tabbed browsing and support for RSS feeds. As usual, Microsoft have promised improved security, but their track record in this area does not build much confidence. If you are curious, Internet Explorer 7 is worth a look - just make sure to make suitable backups before installing it.

Important: you should uninstall ANY previous version of Internet Explorer 7 before installing this latest release.
